Charlie and I just had our second meeting with the wardens, which was exactly how the first one should have gone. They invited us to take a seat and have a reasonable, adult conversation about the article, and the second warden (not the one we encountered before) gave a very polite and well argued reasoning for us not publishing. Now I’m more than happy. It’s just a shame that it takes two people for one to be polite. I’m not negating what I said in the previous post by this; I stand by it all. I just thought that it would be rude not to acknowledge what has now rightly happened, and that the situation is resolved.

Love it, really well put. I think it would be a really gd idea to resubmit the article and invite a reply from them. Charlie may want to reconsider the factual references.…maybe make some of the changes that D…errr Warden numero 1 suggested. Defo should go for it!

The thing is, the sub-wardens do a really hard job for sod all return, and they have absolutely no discretion to use — everything is dictated by the uni. I’d feel bad publishing an article like this, although I would be tempted to write the reply myself! How a certain Warden reacted was, however un-called for. It’s a tricky situation…
