Three Weeks Later

So I just finished my first week of proper lectures and work at Uni. I have to say that I'm loving it so far. The first week of lectures was all introductions, which was really boring, but I've had a few really cool ones now, in English and Spanish both, and I'm finding Portuguese pretty easy so far too — long may it continue! There have been low points too: I still seem to have Fresher's Flu (I should probably try getting some rest) and last night some drunken idiot managed to knock me down a flight of stairs, which added to my first day climbing means that I'm pretty sore today. The climbing club seems pretty active, and I can get to a great place for bouldering by bus from outside my halls, so that should be cool! I'm also off next weekend to Northumberland, for a weekend of climbing where I'll hopefully learn to place gear, opening up a world of nearby rocks to me and whoever I choose to climb with. I'm going back to Birmingham on thursday, since someone has very kindly offered my a spare Cirque du Soleil ticket, which should be incredible. I'm also hooked on a new TV series called Heroes (www.watchheroesonline.com), which is kind of the thinking man's X-Men. So all is well!
