Palenque : Ruins

After sleeping in this morning to make up for yesterday's early start, we made our way to the ruins that were the ancient city of Palenque. These are a lot closer than what we have been travelling to in the last two days, and having jumped on a very inexpensive bus we were at the site in less than twenty minutes. After buying our unfortunately undiscounted tickets, we set off in search of something to climb on this ridiculously hot day. Thankfully, to prepare for the heat I had invested in some new clothes, in the form of wife-beaters. They may not be the most flattering attire, but at least I was marginally cooler than Nicky. We had left our bags at the hotel, and were a little doubtful about the security, so I did have my laptop with me, about doubling the weight of my bag, which made the climbing even less fun.The ruins were bigger than all of what we had seen so far
