Today has been great, life is fantastic! I’ve finished school, I’m going to Poland on Thursday to start my backpacking trip, and the weather is sunny enough to have barbeques all the time. I actually really like cooking, although I’m not very good at it. Everything seems to be in place for the trip, except getting some travellers cheques. I have my coach, plane, rail, and plane tickets, so that’s the main worries done with. I should be able to get some good photos in Eastern Europe, although I’m only taking my little digital camera, because I won’t be able to develop the film for ages. I hope I don’t get my camera nicked again! That would just be annoying… It’s going to be amazing!
I’ve had such a nice day! I love that I can wear shorts and flip-flops, I think I should compose an ode to them (clearly I’m in a strange mood):
Ode to Shorts and Flip-Flops
Long shorts and flip-flops,
As a combo, they’re tops.
Shorts keep you nice and cool,
Flip-flops, well, they just rule!Barefoot is second best,
Flip-flops really stand the test.
Short shorts might at first seem great,
But next to long ones, they’re second rate.Top on, top off, top round your waist,
Shorts, flip-flops, never out of place!
Wear them when in sunny climes,
Or even in English summertimes!

hmm, ithink you’re right dave, you might need professional help… you’re the 1st person i’ve met who’s composed an ode to shorts and flip flops, and probably the last i’ll meet
